Lake Fog Over Lake Hartwell

Wow! What fun it would be to sit in the middle of the lake (with lights of course) during this fog!! This was so intense but fun to see. The ever changing life on Lake Hartwell. What causes fog?  Fog forms over water and is commonly referred to as lake fog. It forms when warm, moist air flows over relatively colder waters.  Here are some other interesting facts about fog: Radiation Fog: This fog forms when all solar energy exits the earth and allows the temperature to meet up with the dew point.
